Investing in the Future of Airline Catering

Air Fayre is executing a multi-year automation program that spans assembly systems, collision avoidance technology, and a proprietary operational platform connecting every system. The investment is funded, the engineering partnerships are in place, and the program is underway.

What Technology and Automation Means at Air Fayre

Our technology investment is structured around three disciplines: an operational model that concentrates resources on logistics execution, physical automation systems that improve throughput and accuracy, and a safety and compliance infrastructure that documents every stage of every departure.

image

The Split-Catering Model

We separate food production from logistics execution to concentrate our resources on what matters most: executing quality service and getting your aircraft off the ground on time. This targeted approach also maximizes our automation investment, directing capital spending into logistics technology.

Explore the Split-Catering Model

Scorpio MRP & Logistics: The Intelligence Layer

Scorpio MRP & Logistics is our proprietary operational manufacturing platform, purpose-built for airline catering and integrated with Microsoft Business Central.

image

Flight-Level Demand Management

Scorpio MRP & Logistics receives airline flight data for each departure: aircraft type, departure time, passenger count, class-of-service configuration. Provisioning requirements are calculated per departure. When flight data changes, Scorpio recalculates. No static templates, no daily averages.

image

Galley Inventory and SKU Tracking

The platform manages the full galley inventory taxonomy for each airline client: every SKU, every cart position, every class-of-service configuration across every aircraft type. SKU-level tracking from incoming inspection through galley loading produces the provisioning accuracy data airline partners can audit and the zero-waste targeting data that drives operational efficiency.

image

Service-Window Scheduling

Provisioning, assembly, and ramp delivery are scheduled against actual departure time data. When departure times shift, Scorpio reschedules the provisioning sequence. The catering operation adjusts to the airline's timeline rather than requiring the airline to adjust to ours.

image

Business Central Integration

Scorpio connects to Microsoft Business Central for financial and operational management, giving leadership real-time performance visibility across all four locations. The combined platform supports audit-ready documentation and transparent reporting across all four locations.
