Our split-catering model separates food production from logistics execution, concentrating every resource on the half of the catering value chain that determines whether your aircraft departs on time. The automation program, the location expansion, and the technology platform we deploy today are grounded in 18+ years of that focus.

Founded 1997. Expanded to North America in 2008. Led by a leadership team that built the company from one location to a national operation. The Airline Catering Company Built Around Logistics

Our Story
Air Fayre's growth record speaks to the strength of its operational model.
Air Fayre was established in 1997, with its California operations incorporated as Air Fayre CA Inc. in 2008. Our headquarters is at 1720 W 135th St, Gardena, California, 90249, five miles from Los Angeles International Airport.
The growth arc from founding to today is a record of consistent execution. Capacity has grown more than 50%. Staff has grown to 600+ employees across four states. What began as a single Southern California location has expanded to four: Los Angeles (LAX), Memphis (MEM), Indianapolis (IND), and Portland (PDX). Each location was entered deliberately, with a client relationship anchoring the operation before it opened.
How We Built the Company
Air Fayre exists to master the challenges of the catering value chain
Logistics Specialization
Air Fayre specializes in the logistics half of the airline catering value chain. Every resource, every technology investment, and every process improvement compounds on a single operational mission. That focus is the source of every operational advantage we hold.
Execution Precision
Air Fayre competes on execution precision: the on-time, in-full delivery record that procurement committees measure, the compliance documentation that airline safety auditors require, and the operational consistency that keeps our partnerships with customers productive.
Continuous Technology Investment
Air Fayre has committed to assembly robotics, collision avoidance, and ramp safety technology. The program is the operational expression of a philosophy that treats technology investment as a competitive obligation
What We Stand For
Air Fayre exists to take full ownership of the most complex segment of the airline catering value chain: the logistics. By separating food production from delivery execution, we remove the overhead that slows traditional caterers down and redirect that focus entirely toward ramp safety, precision delivery, and operational reliability.
Four commitments run through every decision we make, every location we build, and every contract we serve.
People and Diversity.
Our lean management team and staffing agency partnerships reflect a deliberate belief that the right people, treated well, produce the most reliable operations. We invest in the diverse communities surrounding each location we serve.
Honesty and Integrity.
Every claim we make is backed by operational data. Every commitment is one we can execute. We operate transparently with airline partners, suppliers, and regulators, because in this industry, trust is built flight by flight.
Operational Reliability.
We optimize for the kind of consistent, measurable performance that keeps an airline's service moving without disruption. Reliability is the promise we renew on every flight, every day.
Technological Innovation.
Innovation at Air Fayre is a multi-year capital initiative, not a talking point. Our investment in Scorpio, robotics, and collision avoidance systems compounds the operational advantage of every partner who chooses us.
Investing in What Comes Next
Our automation program is the operational expression of our philosophy: invest in what improves outcomes for airline partners rather than wait for the industry to force the issue.
The investment is funded and the engineering is underway. For airline partners who choose Air Fayre, the automation program means measurable service improvements that compound over the life of every contract.
Collision Avoidance Technology
Air Fayre's proprietary CAS system uses sensor-based guidance and automated speed-zone enforcement to replace traditional ground guides during aircraft approach. Prototyped at Indianapolis in late 2025, with fleet deployment of CAS-equipped trucks at LAX scheduled for Q4 2026.
Assembly Robotics
Beverage build, silverware roll-up, and tray setup robotics are in proof-of-concept development at the Gardena facility, targeting high-repetition, accuracy-critical tasks in the meal build workflow. Deployment targeted for 2027.
Scorpio MRP & Logistics
Air Fayre's proprietary operational manufacturing platform, integrated with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, managing flight-by-flight provisioning and scheduling across all four locations.
